holy grail skin care product #2

I never really believed in a product that can transform your skin until I found this one. This products completely stopped my skin from getting that red flushed look. It's also amazing because it's super cheap from the drugstore, so what is it?
It's the Neutrogina ultra sheer dry touch sunblock! I apply this twice a day and this completely stopped my face from flushing throughout the day! I tried this as a very last resort, as I was tired of tossing money left and right to cure my redness! For anyone out there who suffered from facial redness like me, then I definately recommend trying any sunscreen out!

Favorite of the day

A good perfume is a necessity for any girl, and with so many on the market it can be quite hard to really pick a favorite. I love trying new ones out! Recently, I purchases the Pink Sugar Perfume and I absolutely love it!!
I found it at my local ulta for $30 (there's two sizes, the other one is $45) and I put it on right away and I immediately knew that this was my perfume by far! It smells like vanilla Cotten candy, and it's absolutely amazing! I recommend this to ANYONE, and I defiantly recommend you try it out!

Holy Grail skin care products

The skin care world is very confusing because there's so many products to choose from, but so little actually work. Recently, I've been buying a lot of skin care products, and I found two that I've absolutely love and have transform my skin, so I decided to do a post on them! The one I'll be talking about today is the Mario Bedescu Aloe Vera Toner! I just got this a few days ago, and I'm already head over heels in love with it!
I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I suffer from facial redness. It's gets really bad where it turns into a burnt fusha color. Although this isn't the product that solved this issue (that is my next HG skin care post), this dramatically reduced my redness instantly! It's also fairly cheap for a high end product ($17)! It's a liquid, as a toner should be, and I just apply it onto a Cotten round and gentle massage it into my face! The thing that really had me sold on this product was the immediate results! Within a minute of applying this, all my redness (well, I still had a little left) was gone and I was left with soft, glowing skin! This is an AMAZING MIRICALE product and I recommend it to anyone with sensitive skin or had redness!

Josie Maran Argon Oil Review

I saw a tiny sample of this in the checkout line at sephora and I immediately picked it up to try it, and I ended up loving it. I always ment to pick up the full size of this, but I never could manage to swallow the price tag, so I stuck with the small sample bottles. Four travel size bottles later (which last a long time), and I finally decided to pick up the full size. I love oils so much for my skin, and this is definitely one of my favorites, so I decided to share my love of this oil for you! So here it goes!

WHERE TO BUY:

You can get this at sephora! It is $46 for the full size and $14 for the travel size!

PACKAGING:

It comes in a glass container with a dropper top. It's easy to get out, the only downside is it's made of glass, so it would be disasterous if it fell!!

THE PRODUCT:

To apply, you just take 3-4 drops (a little goes a long way) and you just pay it in! Unlike a traditional cream moisturizer, you don't need to rub it to get it to sink in which is nice! Argon is oil is really nice because it has repairing properties and it really moisturizes your skin! Not to mention, it's all natural! It is quite thick, but it sinks in really nicely! This isn't one to be worn under makeup, because your makeup will just slide right off so if you wear makeup, just use it at night!

THE VERDICT:

All in all, I recommend this to every skin type whether your dry, normal, sensitive (my skin type), or even oily!!! Most people with oily skin would be frightened to use a oil on their skin, but applying oil to your skin tricks it into thinking it already produced oil so it won't produce as much! If your still scared of using it, josie maran has a light version of this, so you could use it as a stepping stone!

I really hoped this helped! Let me know if you end up trying it and what you think!

How to be pretty without makeup

Whether you wake up late, or you are going swimming, this is my guide on how  you can ditch the makeup and still look pretty!

LONG TERM FIXES:

1- drink lots of water

Water really helps your skin hydrate a rejuvenate itself giving it a healthy glow! Water will also help prevent break outs!

2- eat a healthy

Ever heard the saying 'you are what you eat'? Well it's true! What comes in must come out, and of course we know the obvious way of it coming out, but what you eat also comes out your skin! What? So those who are on diets of high processed carb and calorie foods may tend to have more skin issues than those who don't! And even if you can get away with it, it's just not good for you, so make sure you eat healthy!

3- maintain a good skin care routine

I'm not gonna go into great depth on what your skin care steps your routine should include (I'll have a post coming with that soon), but I will say that everyone should cleanse, tone, and moisturize! Skin care is really important because it helps your skin and you can costumize it to fit each of your individual needs!

4- exsersize

Although it can be a hassle to excersize, it's still important that you still do this step! When you excersize, you sweat which releases toxins which would have otherwise build up in your skin and cause other skin issues!

QUICK FIXES

1- curl your lashes

Most girls can't go without makeup because mascara is 'so important', but curling your lashes offers a quick alternative fix to open your eyes!

2- apply vasaline to your lashes & brows

This helps darken your lashes and brows makeing them to help appear fuller and sparked. It will also help frame your face!

3- exfoliate your lips and apply lip balm

Lips really help make your face appear more colorful so by exfoliating and applying a lip balm it with make your lips appear more rosy and fuller!

4- confidence

The prettiest girl, is the most confident girl!

Hoped this helped!!

COMPARISON: clarisonic vs. Olay contouring brush system

Ever since I got into skin care, I wanted a clarisonic, but due to its pricey price tag I was never able to afford it until recently. Before the clarisonic, I liked to use the Olay fresh effects contouring system and so I'd like to get this review out so I can help save anyone a few bucks. I will say, I do like both of these face brushes and it really comes down to what kind of skin type you have!

OLAY FRESH EFFECTS CONTOURING SYSTEM:

So I first purchased this back in august and I used it for about 3 months straight, so I am able to really testify for this. I switched between using is every morning and night, but without fail I always used it at least once a day. So this tool is really nice because of its convenience! The brush head is shaped as a triangle so you can really get into the contours of your face, which is really nice! The bristles are a soft rubbery texture (soft enough for my sensitive skin) which really helps lather up your skin. It really gets the job done and makes your face feel squeaky clean!

CLARISONIC:

The clarisonic is a little bigger and is about the size of a face wash(?). The brush head is a little bigger and can't fit into the corners of your face, but of you take the brush off and push the center of the brush a smaller brush comes out that can really fit into the corners of your face. To use this, you just put your cleanser on the brush and press the button and the clarisonoc pulses for a minute. After a minute, it turns off by itself. This really makes your face feel clean and fresh and really lets your next products sink in. Also, the clarisonic allows you to change your brush head and you can pick your brush head depending on your skin type.

OVERALL:

I feel that the clarisonic is the better option, but the Olay brush is better than nothing. If you have nice skin that doesn't need a lot of maintaining, then I'd just stick with the Olay brush to save money. The olay brush is more convenient, but the clarisonic had a lot more tools and settings to really costumize it to get it to match your skin. I'd definately recommend both, but the clarisonic wins by far!

St. Ives Green Tea Scrub

Finding the perfecta exfoliator has been quite a struggle for me. Whether it was to harsh and irritated my skin, or it made me breakout, I've never really had an exfoliator that worked. So as a last attempt I tried the St. Ives green tea scrub and I decided to share my thoughts on it. At first, I tried the sample size of it, but after trying it out a few times I know I needed the full size so I immediately went out and got it! Keep in mind this is just my experience (I have sensitive skin) and this is my opinion!

AVAILABILITY:

This is available at any drugstore, target, or Walmart for about $5-6!

PACKAGING:

As for the packaging, there's nothing much to say about it. It's a typically squeeze tube type this. It's easy to get access to!

PRODUCT:

The product is amazing! I like to use this about twice a week and all that I like to do is apply this to my face and rub it around a little and rinse of. It's a little difficult to rinse off because I find the grands to get stuck, but it's nothing unbearable. The top two reason exfoliators don't work for me is 1- they are to harsh and 2- they break me out. The srubbies are really small and gentle and the formula is almost creamy so it's really light and doesn't scrub my skin to death. The reason exfoliators break most people out is because the beads break the break out and spreads it causing more. Since this scrub contains salicidic acid (acne medication) when it breaks the break out the medicine immediately attacks it stopping the breakout, so not only does it not break me out, but it also prevents the break outs! Overall, this product is amazing and I recommend it to any one with any skin type!!

I hoped this helped and I totally think anyone should try it! It's amazing!

Biore deep cleaning pore strips

Recently I've been getting really clogged pores in my nose, so I turned to the trusted Biore deep cleansing pore strips! It's been a while since I've used these, and the results were different from what I remembered, so I thought I'd review them!

HOW TO USE:

Get the strip and twist it around so you loosen the pre cut slits. Wet your nose then take the strip and apply to your nose. Wait 15 minutes or until the strip feels like papier-mâché then gently remove the strip.

MY THOUGHTS:

*keep in mind this is my opinion and results may very*
So I've noticed that this doesn't really work that well. I get most of my blackhead in the 'crease' of my nose and for some reason the strips don't get them. These strips don't get the blackheads in hard to reach places, they only get them on the top of the nose, not the sides. They also only work if you have serious blackheads, so if you only have minor blackheads, I would not recommend them!

That's it! I hoped this helped. These strips are pretty cheap so they're worth the try if you think they'll help!

My Trick to Soft feet!

As a dancer, my feet aren't pretty. They're hard, rough, and just unflattering so recently I decided to actually do something about it! So I did some research and picked up some products and it really helped, so here's how!

STEP ONE: EXFOLIATE

This is really important as it gets rid of the dead skin on your feet! I just use any body wash with an aloofa and just scrub them feet!

STEP TWO: moisturize

This is really important because you need to moisturize your feet to fill in the cracks! I like to use the Blue Spa Glycolic Acid Spa Strength Callus Treatment. This is a nice product because it moisturizes and has a nice minty feeling to it!

STEP THREE: penetrate the product

This is my favorite part because it feels so good! Every night, after applying the foot cream, heat up your COTTEN socks and then just slip your feet into them! This helps the cream sink in and work better!

That's it! Hoped this helped!

DIY: Hair mask for softer hair!

Everyone wants soft hair, but it can be very tricky to achieve that without making your hair really oily! So I went on a hair mask hunt and I ended up finding this easy DIY one! It's amazing and really makes my hair soft! Before we began, I do have normal to dry hair, but it gets oily at the roots, so I kinda have all hair types? Anyway, let's begin:

WHAT YOU NEED:

Coconut oil (twice the amount of conditioner YOU use)

That's it! Super basic, I know!

HOW TO:

All that you need to do is apply the coconut oil in your hair and let it sit for as long as you can (you can even sleep in it) then rinse it out thouroughly! I really want to emphasize on the rising part of it because if not your hair will look REALLY oily. Also, if you want to, steam your hair and that will get it to penetrate more and really make it work!

HOW IT WORKS:

Coconut oil is really moisturizing so when it penetrates it's way into the layer of each strand of hair it will really moisturize your hair making it soft! Also, when applied to roots of hair it will go into your 'hair pores' and strengthen your hair!

That's it! Let me know how you achieve soft hair!!

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream Review

Recently I've been really exploring into the brand Cetaphil and since this product gets so many good reviews, so I knew I had to try it! I purchased this for $9.99 at my local target but it's also available at other drugstores and Walmart!

***my skin is sensitive, it also doesn't get dry or oils so it's more normal in that aspect***

PACKAGING

I'm gonna be honest, the packaging wasn't really a winner for me. It comes in a container where you need to re-dip your fingers into which can cause bacteria. I don't have an acne issue so I haven't noticed any breakouts with that, but that's something to think about if you have acne prone skin. It's also bulky which makes it hard to travel with. On the bright side, it does come with a lot (16 oz.) so it losts a long time!!!

APPLICATION

There isn't that much to say about the application other than it's amazing! It glides on smoothly and sinks right into your skin!!

PRODUCT

The results of this product will definateky turn out differently for each different skin type. If you have oily skin, stick to using just a little at night or skip it all together! On the other hand, if you have dry skin this is perfect as it's super moisturizing! Since I'm in the middle and I have normal skin, I find that this is perfect for morning and night for me, as long as I don't use too much! As you can see above, it's super thick and the first time I used this it left me pretty oily in the t-zone!! For sensitive skin, it's perfect as it's extremely gentle and doesn't irritate my skin!

That's it! I hoped this review helped I some way and you can take something from it! Also, make sure you follow my Instagram (@MissBeautyBlush) so you can keep up to date with me!

Teeth Whitening Routine

A bright, white smile is envied by many, so today I'll show you my guide on how I get my pearly white smile! I do this full routine only twice a week at night. But every morning and night I floss, brush, and use mouthwash with the products shown below!

Before I start, I'd like to give a little back round on my teeth! I've never had extremely yellow teeth, but I've always been unsatisfied with my smile! I've always felt my teeth weren't pearly! I then had braces and when they got off my teeth got extremely yellow (let me know if you want a braces story)! Then about 6 months ago I went on a journey looking for the perfect teeth whitening tools and I finally found them!!

STEP ONE: flossing
Now I've only recently been flossing, but so far I really like the Johnson Mint Waxed Floss. This is super important for many things such as preventing gum disease but since this a teeth whitening I'm gonna focus on that aspect. Flossing really helps me to clean out in between my teeth so my following products can really get in there and in between my teeth and work! I also like this specific floss because I find it gets everything out and it leaves a minty fresh feeling behind!

STEP TWO: whitening strips

Whitening strips are the most effective step in my whitening process and I like using the Crest 3D White Whitestrips. I started by using these for 2 weeks straight everday and I saw improvement after a week! They really stay on and don't burn! They also don't make my teeth sensitive!

STEP THREE: brushing my teeth
Brushing my teeth helps with so much! From whitening to prevention! I use the Colgate Whitening Tooth Gel. It claims to prevent cavities and helps whitens. I've never had a cavatie so I can agree with that, but for the whitening aspect, I feel like ever toothpaste says that and in all reality I wouldn't give credit to my 'whitening tooth paste' for my white smile! I'm not picky with my tooth paste and I change it quite often!

STEP FOUR: mouthwash
Mouthwash is really important for twice a day use because it gets in hard to use places that brushing alone can't do. I use the generic target brand mouth rinse and it's comparable to listerine! I really enjoy this mouthwash and it really helps brighten my smile. It tingles a little, but that just tells ya it's working!!

Hoped this helped! I swear by all of these products and recommend them to all!

Cetaphil Gentle Face Wash Review

For those with sensitive skin, you know how hard it is to find a cleanser that's not to harsh for your skin, and it can be nearly impossible to find one. I have sensitive skin, and on the hunt to find one I tried this cetaphil one (I got it in the sample size) and decided to review the face cleanser! I got mine at target at the travel section for $2.99, but I do know the full size one is around $9 and is available at target, drugstores, and Walmart! So let's begin!:

**for those new here, I do have sensitive skin, as stated above, and it doesn't get dry or oily so it's pretty normal in that department!**

PACKAGING

The packaging of a product isn't the most important thing to me. If I find a cleanser that's good, the packaging isn't gonna effect my decision of if I'll be repurchasing it or not. The full size cetaphil cleanser comes in a huge tube (which makes the money worth it) and it had a squirt top. The dispenser makes it easy because you just have to press and go! All in all, I really do enjoy the packaging!

APPLICATION

Application can be pretty important because when your on the go, you don't want a product that is difficult to apply, which those skin care junkies out there know what I mean! In this case, the cetaphil cleanser goes on nicely and is really easy to massage into your skin. It glides over and it doesn't irritate my skin at all!!! It rinsing off easily, which in some cases other cleansers tend to bubble up in my nose when I try to rinse off! Altogether, I really like the application process!

PRODUCT

The actual product is the most important part of any review! The cetaphil cleanser claims to be gentle (even to use on babies), deep cleans, and soften skin and I can honestly say it does all of that! It never dries out my skin or irritate it, but it's still gets the cleaning job done! I love this cleanser!!

Hoped this review helped! Stay tuned for my Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream review!!

Philosophy Purity Face Wash review

"Purity is natural. We come into this world with all the right instincts. We are innocent, therefore perceive things as they should be, rather than how they our. Our conscience is clean, and the world at large is truly beautiful. It is at this time we feel most blessed. To begin feeling young again, we most begin with the most basic step of all, the daily ritual of cleansing."
                      -Philosophy
Philosophy is my favorite brand which is why today I'm coming to you with a review on their Purity Made Simple one-step facial cleanser. I have been using this for about a month and (spoiler alert!) I absolutely love it! This cleanser comes in 3 different sizes
Travel size- $10
Medium- $24
Large- $46
And it's available from philosophy, ulta, nordstrom, and sephora!

Packaging

Let's start with the packaging! I travel a lot and a vacation is no excuse for me to skip my skin care routine so I need something very portable and this does the job! I've never had a problem with this leaking on the plane or anything! I also really enjoy the quote on the front of the bottle as it's very unique! I'm a very big quote person so that's why this brand really draws my attention! The dispenser is squeeze top which I normally find wastes product because they're hard to controll, but this dispenser is very controlled so you can get as little or as much as you need!

Application

To apply this all you need to do is wet your face with water, then massage it into your skin for 30-60 seconds. This face wash has a liquidy almost a milky consistency so it doesn't foam up at all (which is good)! It rinses off easily, which can be a problem with some cleansers, leaving my skin soft and clean!

Product

On the back of the bottle it has a list of claims which I will read off to you:
• deep cleanses pores and eliminates makeup build up
• hydrates as it melts away makeup
• contains deep cleansing agents
• natural oil extracts help condition skin
• fragrance free formula
• contains a proprietary blend of extracts for a unique fresh scent
I can honestly say it does everything it claims which is pretty hard to believe. I haven't had one break out while using this (keep in mind I don't have problematic skin), yet my skin is also left feeling soft which is really hard for a cleanser to deep clean and moisturize, but this manages to do it. I would really recommend this to any skin type! My mom, who has dry skin loves this and my sister with oily acne-prone skin also loves this too!

I hoped this helped! Let me know of you want any other reviews!

Favorite lip balms

Lip balms help plump up your lips and keep them soft, but it's very hard to find a lip balm that actually does that! With a lip balm collection containing over 50 lip balms, I've managed to find a few that actually do the job!

1- Eos lip balm

The eos lip balm is very controversial as some like it, others do not! I personally love it as it keeps my lips moist and it has a tingle to it! It's also comes in a cute sphere packaging! I keep one of these in my purse and room! One is always with me wherever I go!

2- Jack Black Lip Balm
I'm gonna be honest and say that I absolutely hate the smell. It's a men's lip balm so it kinda smell manly; kinda like cologne! That's the only think I don't like about it though! It lasts forever and makes my lips look really nice and shiny since it has a vasaline consistency! The packaging is also in a tube and the applicator is slanted making it easy to apply!

3- Sugar Fresh Lip Balm
This lip balm is absolutely amazing. My only complaint is that it melts easily! This lasts forever and glides on easily! The packaging is super cute as it come t in a metal container! It looks really professional. The reason this lasts forever is because it's made with sugar and sugar attracts moisture so will it's on your lips it attracts moisture in the air making your lips more moisturized

5- Vasaline

Last, but not last least, it good ol' vasaline! This is amazing as it's super moisturizing, but also locks in moisture! It's also super in-expensive at the drugstore!

That's it! What are your favorite lip balms!

How To Get Smooth Lips

Whether your getting ready for a big kiss, or you are suffering from dry cracked lips, this super quick and easy guide on how to get smooth, hydrated lips will help!

Step one:
Exfoliating is so important! There are lots of different exfoliation methods! You can rub a clean tooth brush or mascara want on your lips or use a lip scrub (home made or store bought)! My favorite lip exfoliator is the lush lip scrubs because it:
• is natural and edible
• fine beads
• really gets the job done
I'll have a DIY lip scrub tutorial up soon!

Step two:
Moisturizing is important because this is what actually moistens your lips! I like the Eos sweet mine lip balm! It tingles which really makes it feel like it's working and it glides right on!!

Step three:
This is a step a lot of people don't know about but it is to seal in your moisture! Vasaline is great for sealing I moisture and it's super cheap! This locks the moisture in and protects your lips from the harsh elements of everyday hazards such as wind!

That's it! Let me know how it worked for you!!

My Makeup Removal Process

Let's face it, removing makeup is a pain in the you know what. It takes forever and that dang mascara holds onto your lashes! With trial and error, I have finally found the best way for me to remove my makeup!

Step one
I first start off by taking some coconut oil and remove my eyemakeup. I just get a teaspoon and rub it on my eyes to remove my makeup. The oil really gets in there and breaks down even my toughest cream shadows and waterproof eye makeup!

Step two
I then just take a Huggies Baby Wipe wipe it all over my face to remove all the coconut oil and face makeup. Regular face makeup remover wipes make my face burn and so far, these are the only ones I found that don't burn my face!! Each wipe is super moist and remover makeup really well and is good for all skin types!

Step three:
The last thing I do is wash my face with my Purity face wash! This helps remove any left over makeup on my face and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean!

That's it! After I do all of that I go into my skin care routine (last post)! Also, I just got bloglovin so follow me!!

Skin Care Routine

Skin care is something I redeem to be really important. I've always loved taking the time to go through each step of my skin care routine and discovering new products. As you can see above, I don't mind splurging on my products because in my mind, you wear your skin forever so you might as well take care of it! Keep in mind that I do have normal skin, so these products may or may not work for you. I also think the most beneficial way to keeping a clear and glowing look to your skin is excersize and diet! My skin wouldn't be anywhere as good as it is today without my diet and excersize! One last thing before I begin is that this is my night time routine, in the morning I just cleanse tone and moisturize using the same exact cleanser, toner, and moisturizer at night! So without further adue, let's begin!:

Step one: cleanse
The first thing I do at night is cleanse my face with my Philosophy Purity cleanser using my Clarisonic Mia! I don't wear makeup on a regular basis so I don't have any need to use a makeup remover (let me know if you want a makeup removal process)! I really like my purity cleanser because it:
• deep cleanses pores
• natural oils moisturize and condition skin
• frangrence free
My clarisonic is nice because it enhances my cleanser and and really deep cleans my pores! I use the sensitive head brush on my clarisonic by the way.

Step two: exfoliate
To exfoliate I use the Aloe gentle exfoliator by the body shop. I only exfoliate once a week because I use the clarisonic every night so I don't really need to exfoliate often. This has microscopic beads so it makes for a really gentles exfoliator.

Step three: face mask
I use this face mask about twice a week and it's the Queen Helene mint Julep Masque! All I do is apply it with a clean foundation brush and let it sit for about 20 minutes or until it dries then rinse it off. This mask is amazing because it:
• deep cleanses
• dries up acne and blackheads
• shrinks pores
• relaxes tired muscles
This mask is definitely a life saver for bad skin days, which is why it's a stable in my skin care routine!

Step four: tone
For some reason, toning is my favorite part of my skin care routine. I use the Burt's bees Brightening Refining Tonic! This is a pretty new at the drugstore so I haven't been using it for long, so if your want a more detailed review in the future, let me know! When I apply this to my face it makes my skin feel fresh and it tingles a bit (in a good way)! I picked this up because my skin was looking dull and this claimed to!:
• brightens skin
• evens skin tone
• corrects dark spots
Because I haven't been using it for log, I can't really say if it does all this or not, but so far, I have notice it brightens my face!

Step five: moisturize
To moisturize my skin, I use the Korres Greek Yoghurt Moisturizing Face Cream! I really enjoy it because it's thick enough to moisturize my face and my face really just soaks it up so my face doesn't look greasy! It really soothes my face and brings immediate moisture and soothes my skin!

That's it! It may seem like a lot, but I really just cleanse, tone, and moisturize morning and night and exfoliate and use a mask every now and then!
